Dates back to July the confidence of businesses and consumers – Il Sole 24 Ore

A Consumer confidence in Italy in July on the ascent. In particular, it communicated Istat, the climate index among consumers switch to 111.3 from 110.2 in June, while that of enterprises is growing at 103.3 from 101.2. The estimates refer to staff members, current and future of consumer confidence increased (respectively, to 105.0 from 103.0, 109.1 to 108.2 and 114.9 to 112.9), while the component economic records a decline (from 131.7 to 130.1).

The opinions of consumers with regard to the country’s economic situation worsened for the third consecutive month (the balance of guest passes to -54 from -49 and the expectations from -5 to -9). The judgments on the price trend during the past 12 months and expectations for the next 12 months showed a decline (to -31 from -26 and to -30 from -20). Expectations on unemployment instead improve slightly (to 30 from 32, the balance).

As for businesses, confidence rises in all areas: in a more marked way in construction (to 126 , 2 from 121.6) and market services (from 105.1 to 108.6); milder in manufacturing (to 103.1 from 102.9) and in the retail trade (to 101.3 from 99.3). In manufacturing companies marginally improve the production expectations (10 to 9). In construction

improves the opinions on orders and / or construction plans (to -24 from -30), while employment expectations remain stable (-9). In services improve all components of the climate: the balances grow judgments and expectations on the level of orders (7 to 4 and 7 to 9, respectively). The expectations on the economic trend improve (the balance moved from 3 to 8). In retailing improve judgments on current sales (from 0 to 6) but worsen the expectations on future sales (21 to 22); the balance on inventories passes to 16 from 17.
