Buzzi, improves margins in SEM1, sees Mol 2015 to about 450 million – Reuters Italy

       

MILAN, August 4 (Reuters) – Buzzi Unicem has closed the first half with a gross operating profit of 166.6 million, up 20.3% over the same period last year and sees a miglioramentto profitability in the second half.

       

The goal, explained in a statement, is to close the entire 2015 with a recurring EBITDA of around EUR 450 million.

       

The revenues in the half year rose by 4.9% to 1.238 billion with a positive currency effect due to the appreciation of the dollar, which more than offset the collapse of the currency in Ukraine and Russia.

       

The income statement for the period ended with a net profit of 36.4 million, compared to a net loss of $ 20.8 million in the first half of 2014.

       

Net debt at the end of June rose by 56.9 million to 1.12 billion.
