Grow businesses “under 35″ are born 300 a day – The Messenger

Increase the number of businesses started by young people under 35 years of age. Net of closures reported in the same period (about 11 thousand), the army of youth enterprises in the second quarter of the year was thus enriched to more than 20 thousand units, almost reaching the value of 600 thousand companies, highlights the report.

In absolute terms the contribution that young people have made to the growth of the entrepreneurial base, between April and June was 54% (in so much is the share of firms ‘under 35′ compared to the balance quarterly total ). This contribution is even more significant when you look at its intensity: the quarterly growth rate of youth entrepreneurship, in fact, he scored a + 3.6% compared to 0.6% of total business.

That the response of the company looking for a job is one of the main reasons for this growth is confirmed by the prevalence of micro-initiatives (in 76% of cases the newly-born youth enterprises in the form of a sole proprietorship ) and the portion located in the South: the new initiatives of the young southern fact represent 40.6% of total new business in that area of ​​the country, with peaks above or close to this share in Calabria, Campania and Sicily, explains the report.

In absolute terms, the sectors where young people have chosen to focus are trade (over 6,500 companies in more in the quarter), accommodation and catering services (+2,800) and construction ( +2300).
