Rome, October 6 (Labitalia) – In the first eight months of the year, tax revenues, established according to the criteria of legal competence, amounted to 266.06 billion euro, substantially stable compared to the same period of the previous year (-0.4%, or to -1.05 billion euro). This was announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In the period January-August 2014, the direct tax revenue recorded a total of 142.603 million euro, a decrease of 3.5% (-5,158 million euro) compared to the first eight months of last year. Indirect taxes, in the first eight months, a record revenue amounted to 123,457 million euro, an increase of 3.4% (+4,108 million euro), compared to the first eight months of last year.
Revenue related to games, on the whole, a slight increase of 0.5% (+36 million euro). Continue the favorable trend of the revenue from its tax revenue FLOWS FROM ‘assessment and control, which is an increase of 14.2% (+681 million euro). With regard to direct taxes, the personal income tax has a slight decrease of 0.8% (-928 million euro), which reflects the change in the withholding tax on the income of private sector employees (-0.8%), the withholding tax on income of public sector employees (-1%) and the self-employed (-2.5%), which were partially offset by an increase in self-assessment payments (+ 0.8%).
The IRES shows a decline of 18.7% (-3,531 million euro), mainly due, as already ‘highlighted in recent months, with lower payments on account balance in 2013 and 2014, carried out by banks and insurance companies as a result of the increase of the amount of the down set in 2013, for these taxpayers, to 130% by the n dl. 133 of 30 November 2013 The increase of the deposit in 2013, it reflects negatively on payments made to balance in 2014 (relating to the tax year 2013). The latter figure, in turn, and ‘one of the components for the basis of calculation of the deposit for the tax year 2014.
Among other direct taxes, the substitute tax on interest and other capital income is reduced by 10.3% (-740 million euro), while the substitute tax on asset management and administration of 26.2% (-409 million euro). It grows instead of 110.7% (+465 million euro), the revenue from withholding tax on profits distributed by legal persons as a result, both the increase of dividends paid in 2014, and of the changes to the taxation of financial income.
Record revenues of 1,692 million euro of the substitute tax on the higher values of the shares in the capital of the Bank of Italy, and amounted to 236 million euro tax on revaluation of assets d ‘ business and investments, for which there are three annual payments of the same amount (16 June, 16 September and 16 December).
