Brake jobs, while the unemployment remains stable – The Republic

ROME – Work, no sparks. Unemployment remains stable in the third quarter of 2016, while the brakes after five months of consecutive growth the to that mark by 0.1%, with 14,000 units in less work. The decline in employment is driven by the independent work (-80.000, or 1.5%, while the employees continue to grow (+66.000, +0,4%). The trend increase in concerns to a greater extent in women (+189.000 a year), and is concentrated exclusively between the over people over 50.

Cala is also the rate of inactivity of 1.2 points compared to the third quarter of 2015. In comparison trend, the decrease in inactivity is spread by genre, territory, class, age, and covers both those who want to work (-212 thousand, the labour force potential, especially among women) is the component furthest from the labour market (-316 thousand who does not seek and is not available). The variations of the stock of employment imply significant changes in the condition of people in the labour market, measured by the flow data at a distance of twelve months. In the complex there is an increase in the employment of the unemployed, in particular between 35 and 49 years of age, individuals with low level of education, and in the Centre-north, on a more limited scale to grow, the transitions from the idle state to the employment and unemployment.
