Privatization, Government of Eni will repeat what has already been done with Enel … – Reuters Italy

       

MILAN, March 17 (Reuters) – The government is ready to give up a share of Eni, as it did recently in Enel.

       

He said Claudio De Vincenti, Deputy Minister for Economic Development with responsibility for energy.

       

“The point is that it must remain a reference of the public participation: are strategic companies, however, we will do what has been done on Enel for Eni,” said De Vincenti, on the sidelines of a conference, when asked whether there will still privatizations in the energy sector.

       

The Ministry of Economy directly holds 3.934% of Eni and through the CDP 26.369%.
