MILAN August 20 (Reuters) – Piazza Affari opened slightly higher with the rest of Europe in a weak market, with a few hints on individual securities with the exception of Luxottica, which is in sharp decline after the rumors output the CEO, Andrea Guerra.
The trader speak, even today, a day with the interim cash flows associated with disordered small adjustments on individual securities.
At 9.15 am the FTSE Mib index lost 0.4%, the AllShare 0.38%.
The European FTSEurofirst index falls by 0.1%.
LUXOTTICA loses 5%. The company would not comment on the rumors on the output of the AD.
ITALY TELECOM slightly down, after rising yesterday, as we approach the time of the possible offer for GVT, the Brazilian subsidiary of Vivendi, which aims to overcome the already announced by Telefonica. Analysts are cautious about the real possibility of Telecom Italy to oppose the proposal of the Spanish group.
FIAT is weak, to 7.1 euro, the last day on which the right of withdrawal is exercised, related to the merger in FCA NV at a price of 7.727 euro per share. Fiat has said it intends to inform the market about the extent of the requests in the first week of September. The merger is subject to the fact that the outlay linked to the recesses does not exceed 500 million.
Banking in slight decline, with Unicredit and Intesa Sanpaolo which lose approximately 0.4%.
