Bags, Wall Street: Nasdaq over 5000 points: back at the highest … – The Messenger

Wall Street still rising after the rally of February. The world’s largest stock exchange is confirmed in fact good upside, with the Nasdaq Composite index which touched 5,000 points as a share in the day had not done in 15 years. It was from March 27, 2000, full of the new economy bubble, the technology index did not touch this threshold. The historical record is of 5048.62 points, reached on 10 March 2000 during the dot-com boom.

In the month just ended the index more representative of the American list, the S & amp; P500, updated new records four times, the Dow Jones jumped 5.6%, the best monthly performance since January 2013, while the Nasdaq gained 7.1%.

Most of the credit for these movements bullish is due largely accommodative monetary policies of major central banks, notably the Bank of Japan and the European Central Bank, as well as all’attendismo Federal Reserve in return to raise their rates.
