ROMA (Reuters) – The Council of Ministers met this evening, contariamente to what is stated in the agenda, it will launch the expected five legislative decrees to implement the relevant tax, but will do so in a new date by 27 June , expiry date of the delegation.
He Reportedly, in CDM in progress, a government source.
The five decrees concern valuation and monitoring of tax evasion, revision of the penalty system, questioning and litigation, collection and reorganization of the tax agencies.
One of the decrees on which is higher attention has to do with the sanctions regime. An initial version of the measure, examined at the end of December, foresaw a threshold of criminal liability for all tax offenses to the 3% of income tax evaded. The government had then declined to pass on the decree in Parliament, after the controversy triggered by those who saw in the new regime a favor by Silvio Berlusconi, sentenced for tax fraud.
it has yet to understand the fate of two other legislative decrees, one on the reform of the land registry and the one on gambling.
The reform of the Land Registry’s aim of bringing the value of property for tax purposes to the quotations market. In theory, the operation should come with a reduction of the rates of IMU and Tasi to ensure the invariance of revenue. Many, however, fear that eventually the property tax levy will end with increasing and this justifies the reluctance of the executive at the launch of the decree.
The measure on gambling seeks to combat gambling addiction reducing by about 100,000 units of the new slots and creating spaces dedicated to the players, the so-called ‘gaming hall ‘.
