The boom of new companies promoted mainly by young people. According to the surveys of Unioncamere of over 115 thousand births between January and March, in fact, more than 35 thousand (31%) have at the helm – said in a statement – one or more young people under 35 years of age. The cradle of this entrepreneurial vitality continues to be the South, home to 36% of youth enterprises born last quarter, with just over 13 thousand new initiatives. Nearly 2 out of 3 companies initiated by a under 35 have focused immediately on the internet, 45% are ready to sell online. The sectors that attract more young entrepreneurs are those of trade (where it operates about 20% of the new enterprises ‘under 35′), construction (9.5%) and food services (5.1%). In the vast majority of cases (76%) it is of sole proprietorships, the simplest form – but also the most fragile – to operate on the market; 17% chose instead the form of joint-stock companies, better able to support development projects too ambitious. “Young Italians are rolling up their sleeves to seize the opportunities of this moment and many of them choose to do so through the company – says the president of Unioncamere, Ferruccio Dardanello -. They are often young people who have decided to focus on an innovative idea and the expertise to implement it, also taking advantage of new network technologies. To support these new entrepreneurs have to give their country a more modern and thus more digitized, intelligence and also to attract foreign investments, more meritocratic and that enhances the talents of the people. The real success of the reforms that we are designing will be measured on how much we can do on these fronts, starting with the public administration that has to become really ‘friend’ of the business. “
