Fca, flying in Europe sales: +14.1% in 2016 – The Republic

In December, the new car registrations in the Eu and in the Efta Countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) have been 1.193.286, an increase of 3.2% on the same month of the previous year.

The automotive group, under indictment in the United States for the emissions of the diesel cars, record best results of the market. In the year all the group’s brands are growing, in fact, values higher than those of the market: Jeep +19%, Alfa Romeo +16,5%, Fiat +13.6% for Lance and +9%. The Panda and 500 dominate the segment (29.4% of quota in the year), the 500L is the best selling in its segment (81 thousand recordings and share to 25.5%) and a 500X is firmly among the most sold in its segment, with sales growth of over 42% compared to 2015.

another record year for Jeep in Europe: thanks to 105 thousand registrations during the year, the brand has achieved the best result ever. It was “the year of the Renegade” that has continued to grow: between selling cars in its segment, the deliveries were 77 thousand, 40.4% in 2015. Maserati in 2016 was registered in Europe in addition 7.900 cars, 29.8% in 2015.

In 2016, the sales of the Fiat brand increased in Italy (+17,1%), Germany (+9,3%), France (+14,9%), Spain (+29,4%), Belgium (+6,8%), Austria (+21,4%) and Poland (+25,1%).
