ROME, January 9 (Reuters) – In the third quarter of 2014, taking into account the available income and the trend in prices, the purchasing power of households has increased of ’1.9% from the previous quarter and 1.5% on a trend basis.
This was announced by Istat, stating that the current values in disposable income grew by 1.8% on the quarter and 1.4% on the corresponding period in 2013.
The propensity to save by households, seasonally adjusted, was 10.8% in the third quarter, up 1.6 percentage points from the second quarter and by 0.9 points over the same period of ‘year before.
For the third quarter, the share of profit of non-financial companies, 39%, was down 0.2 percentage points from the previous quarter and 2.1 points on a trend basis.
