French example: unions out of the stupor, May 19 back to the streets – Intelligonews

Perhaps for the French example (transalpine there have been violent demonstrations against the “Jobs Act” wanted by the government), but also the unions Italians are waking up from a certain lethargy that has seen so far-reaching reforms of the labor market launched no major complaints whatsoever. Yesterday there was a square day of action to demand the reform of the Law Fornero on pensions. And another event which, according to reports, should be set in Rome for the May 19 , is already scheduled. It will be “unified initiative on the revaluation of pensions,” said the general secretary of Cisl, Annamaria Furlan , as he was about to leave the march from Piazza Esquilino, in Rome. The details of the new event will be announced in a press conference of trade unions of pensioners of Cgil, Cisl and Uil which according to sources of the CISL, will be held next week. This is a protest that arises from the question indexing: for the unions the solution found by the government to remedy the revaluation of the block after the ruling of the consultation is not enough. The mobilization of the platform has already been set up with the agreement of all three abbreviations.

As for the parade yesterday, however, the event has come via Cavour, wide Corrado Ricci, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia, Via Cesare Battisti and ends in Piazza Santi Apostoli. In Venice, there was the secretary of the CGIL Susanna Camusso . Here the procession started at 9am from Saint Lucia railway station and ends in Campo Santa Margherita. “Pensions must radically change – he said -, must change the norm with regard to the construction of a security for young people, so the chance not to imagine a future to the poor, but of people in their working lives put together a civil pension condition “. In Naples, finally the concentration was in Piazza Dante Alighieri. The protesters marched until reaching in Piazza Matteotti. “The union is losing representation? Look at this place, it is ridiculous to say, “said the general secretary of Uil, Carmelo Barbagallo .
