Inflation at the stake, stops at the most 0.3% But in Abruzzo and Marche grows more – BBC



L'inflazione marks in January, a decline of 0.2% per month. Compared to a year ago, prices were up only 0.3% on an annual basis. The point made by the National Institute of Statistics on consumer prices. The report published on February 22 confirmed the preliminary estimates published last month.

In Milan, Florence, Perugia and Palermo the prices are firm on an annual basis. In the remaining cities, there are trend declines in prices that are between -0.3% and -0.2% of Bari of Potenza and Trieste.

According to Coldiretti, are collapsing prices of fruits and vegetables directly from the manufacturer. It should be in the Italian countryside from -60% percent of the tomatoes to -30% for durum wheat, up to -21% for oranges than last year. All this going against the trend of food prices reported by ISTAT which recorded a 0.6% growth in fresh and 0.3% in processed. Nielsen does however point on prices and sales in supermarkets. In retail volume growth was 1.1% (fourth quarter 2015 compared to the same period of 2014). During the same period prices increased by 0.3%. This has led the industry in sales growth of 1.4%.
