Three reasons why the choice of Padoan is not convincing – The Republic

The IMF expects a relationship between the deficit and the GDP higher than that assumed by the government in its estimation, i.e. by 2.2% instead of 2%. It is very likely that if the IMF had kept the deficit at 2%, its estimate of growth would have been lower.
