MILAN, January 7 (Reuters) – The attorneys Andrea Di Porto, Luigi Medugno and Andrea Saccucci communicate, on behalf of Silvio Berlusconi, has initiated the notification, in its interest and to protect his position as a partner of Fininvest, an appeal of the decision of the Bank of Italy on October 7 on participation of Fininvest in Mediolanum.

In October Fininvest announced that the share will have to divest its stake in Mediolanum that exceeds 9.9% as a result of the provisions of Bank of Italy, in agreement with Ivass, who applied the new rules of financial conglomerates and considered the loss of integrity requirements of Silvio Berlusconi, the indirect parent of the insurance group founded by Ennio Doris.
The holding company headed by the Berlusconi family, according to the last annual general meeting, have resulted through Fininvest a share of 30.15%. The other founding partner Ennio Doris appeared at 29.73% and his wife Lina Tombolato 6.75%.
