Greece: “No agreement with creditors, no refund IMF” – The Messenger

The greek government is trying to get a single comprehensive agreement with international creditors to put an end to austerity and open the way for the growth of the country. This was reported today the Athenian press which cites sources close to Megaro Maximou (Government House) that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras wants a final agreement, not a partial disbursement of funds.

The premier greek points to an agreement to end austerity and ripristi the Greek economy and does not intend to negotiate it in two or three phases in order to meet short-term obligations. Tsipras, according to sources, believes that agreements in the short term create a kind of suffocation of the Greek economy and market uncertainty further damaging the economy itself.

As a result an agreement Partial bring more austerity. Has meanwhile learned that the greek premier will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande on the sidelines of the EU summit tomorrow in Riga. They Tsipras illustrate again the serious liquidity problems that the country is facing and ask in addition to a single agreement, including a political solution to the issue of debt by the end of May.

Meanwhile, the greek government, the newspapers, is indirectly sending the message to creditors that – in the absence of an agreement – Greece will not be able to repay the IMF installment of 300 million euro maturing on June 5.
