China cut tariffs on import – BBC

From Monday, June 1 China cuts import tariffs on clothing products, footwear, cosmetics and other luxury goods and consumer goods. A move that will help the exports of companies in the Made in Italy to the eastern market where it has long been facing even the middle class.

In detail, the new rules adopted by the Commission for customs tariffs lowers import duties on various types of footwear – such as boots and sports shoes – from 22-24% to 12%, on different types of clothing – such as coats, jackets, vests, sweaters, jackets, suits and ensembles – from 14-23% to 7-10% and products for skin care – such as sunscreens and tanning – from 5% to 2%. Calenda has assured that the government is ready to assist with the new Extraordinary Plan 2015 for the promotion of Made in Italy.
