ROME, May 20 (Reuters) – It ‘an Italy, as photographed by Istat Annual Report 2015, which is increasingly becoming the integration of foreigners and the city more “eco”, but where thefts and robberies have increased significantly in recent years of crisis and with a South that continues to complain of severe penalties in access to services. The foreigners residing in Italy on 1 January 2015 were more than 5 million, or 8.3% of the total, primarily Romanians, Albanians, Moroccans and Chinese. The report, presented today in the House, reveals how between foreigners of at least 14 years more than eight out of ten have in its network of social relations people to whom they can address in Italy; of these 20% have a mixed network and 15.5% of only Italian, against 61.9% who relies solely on fellow citizens. It ‘foreign 9% of the school population, and has increased by about 12% the presence in schools of foreign students born in Italy. Also half of the foreign students in the range 10-24 years says he would like to continue their education and go to college. Istat points out as among the foreign children of 6-13 years, 69.1% have an Italian best friend. UP THEFT AND ROBBERY, GAPS HEALTH NORTH-SOUTH If from 2009 to 2013 homicides have dropped by 14.3%, thefts and robberies are increased by 18% (+ 67% in-house) and 22%. In 2013 only 1.5 million were reported about 44,000 robberies and thefts. Among the problems identified by the report also strong regional imbalance in health care, especially between North and South: the proportion of people in poor health, with the same age, it is 17.7% in the center-north and 20% in the South.
