Intesa, Comp.S.Paolo remain shareholder relief, may be more open to funding … – Reuters Italy


       

TURIN, April 27 (Reuters) – Compagnia di San Paolo is destined to remain long-term shareholder of Intesa Sanpaolo, but hopes that the shareholders of the bank will move increasingly more towards institutional Italian and foreign.


       

He said the president Luca Remmert, speaking to the shareholders in the course in Turin.


       

“We are the first shareholder destined to remain relevant. Our role as shareholder in the long term will not be less, but the shareholders will have to be increasingly directed towards institutional Italian and foreign,” said Remmert.


       

Compagnia di San Paolo is the largest shareholder of Intesa Sanpaolo with 9.38%, followed by BlackRock with 4.89%, Fondazione Cariplo with 4.84%, Cariparo Foundation, which by the end of 2014 has slightly filed its share to 3.35% from 4.16%, Ente Carifirenze with 3.24% and Norges Bank that increased slightly to 2.31% from 2.032%.


       

The institution of Turin, the effect of self-reform of the foundations of the Protocol signed by ACRI and the MEF, will have to reduce its stake in Intesa Sanpaolo because currently exceeds the ceiling of 33% of the assets.
