industrial orders rise 0.8% m / m
The industrial orders in Italy in February showed an increase of 0.8% cyclical, with increases in both the domestic orders ( + 1.2%), as well as those from abroad (+ 0.4%). This was announced by ISTAT. The January figure was revised down to -3.7% from -3.6% previously indicated. In comparison with the month of February 2014, the raw index of orders represents an increase of 2%. The most significant increase was recorded in the manufacture of transport equipment (14.4%) and the greatest decrease is observed in the manufacture of chemical products (-6.7%).
Also good turnover
In February, the industry turnover in Italy, seasonally adjusted, an increase of 0.4% compared in January, with increases in both domestic (+ 0.2%), both on the foreign (+ 0.6%). In January, sales had registered a decline of 1.7% (revised from -1.6%). In the average of the last three months, the overall index increased by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter (-0.4% for the domestic turnover and + 1.2% for the foreign one). Adjusted for calendar effects (working days were 20 as at February 2014), the total revenue decreases in trend terms by 0.9%, a decline of 1.6% in the domestic market and an increase of 0, 8% on the foreign. The seasonally adjusted index of sales mark cyclical increases for energy (+ 4.8%) and capital goods (+ 1.6%), while declines recorded for intermediate goods and consumer goods (-0.6 % for both).
