The hourly contractual wages increased compared to March 2014 – The Newspaper of Public Administration

The collective work for the economical concern 43.1% of employed workers.

The National Institute of Statistics announced that, at the end of March 2015, the collective national work force for the economic part relate to the 43.1% of employed employees and correspond to 39.9% of its total payroll observed .

In March the index of hourly contractual wages was unchanged from the previous month and increased by 1.0% compared to March 2014. Overall, in the first three months in 2015 the average hourly earnings grew by 1.0% over the corresponding period of 2014.

With reference to the main macro sectors, in March the hourly contractual wages recorded an increase trend of ’1.5% for private sector employees and no change for those in the public administration.

The sectors in March are the major trend increases are: telecommunications (3.5 %), rubber, plastic and non-metallic mineral processing (3.3%), energy and petroleum and mineral extraction (3.0%). There are variations void in the trade and in all sectors of public administration.

Among the contracts covered by the survey, in March are not incorporated new agreements and nobody is expired.

In late March, the share of employees in the queue for renewal is of 56.9% in the total economy and 44.4% in the private sector. The pending renewal for workers with expired contract is an average of 39.3 months for all the employees and 23.7 months for those in the private sector.

Istat noted that the new updated data will be announced on 21 May.
