House, after 7 years of declining market returns to growth – The Messenger

After seven years of decline, the housing market has started to grow again. In 2014, as measured by Istat, the sales of homes increased by 1.6% over 2013. The increases cover all geographical areas except Islands, where instead it detects a drop of 1%.

There is also an increase for mortgages, loans and other bonds with real estate mortgage, growing by 9.2% on an annual basis. Increases more determined, above the national average, are observed in the South (+ 13.6%), the Centre (+ 12.8%) and the Islands (+ 11.2%).
