New chapter in the endless diatribe which is between Telecom Italy and the Communications Authority (NRA). In the council last Monday the Authority, chaired by Angelo Marcello Cardani, has slapped the company on new contractual and economic conditions provided for moving its customers fixed network. Which will be distributed in three tranches: offer “Voice” with a cost of 19 euro per month; offer “All Voice”, with a cost of 29 euro per month and unlimited calls to fixed and mobile and offer “All” from 44,90 € per month that adds unlimited ADSL up to 7 Mega. A remodeling that sends in the attic and the fee that will cover 5.2 million customers.

In essence, the Authority has warned the company for this new tariff plan, departing from May 1, complaining deficiencies on ‘customer information and the protection of the right of choice for users who use the universal service.

Today the same hearing will be held between representatives of Telecom and AGCOM, also to see to reach a point of agreement and avoid yet another confrontation (which could lead to a fine very salty for Telecom), after those white-hot on rates unbundling at the turn of 2013 and 2014.

In any case, for now the challenge NRA has taken shape in a resolution that as speaker Councillor Antonio Nicita and takes the form of a measure of formal notice to the “respect of Articles 53, 54, 70 and 71 of the Code of electronic communications.”

From what we read in these ten pages of deliberation, the communication of the new tariff plan – 13 February – are follow requests for clarification from the NRA with acts dated March 27 and April 15. The two notes in reply by Telecom, dated 13 April and 17 April, were not considered exhaustive Authority, despite the assurance of the telephone operator of integration of information in the months of May and June and reprogramming of communication to the press on April 27. “The call for greater transparency and breadth of information – it said in a statement released yesterday AGCOM – is a principle, general and extremely important for the Authority, consumer protection, to be respected in the event of a proposed amendment commercial offers. Furthermore, the protection of those consumers by line connection Rtg (universal service) would pass the offer “All Voice” has led the Authority to detect the absence of an express consent from the consumer, information considered critical for the effects on levels of monthly expenditure resulting from the transition to a service other than a service-based connection to the network. ” Requested by the Sole 24 Ore, Telecom wanted to clarify his part that “all customers were properly informed well in advance through the usual channels of communication: bill, print ad on the main national newspapers, web channels. Recall also that the new tariff plan has been shown to all national and local consumer associations. ”
