Back to the climbing unemployment rate. In December there were 21,000 employed in less than the previous month. , Which is equivalent to a 0.1 percent less. The data, released by Istat, however, confirm the positive compared to December 2014, with 109,000 employees in more than in the same month, exactly one year later. After the fall of September 2015, by 0.2 percent and that of October, more than 0.2 percent in November, the estimate of the employed was rising at 0.2 percent, a sign that had infused optimism on recovery job market. In December, a fall, lighter, by 0.1 percent, but that marks a setback.

Istat also notes, in the spread of the temporary labor market, that compared to December 2014 recorded 109,000 more jobs (+ 0.5%). The figure reflects the decline in self-employed (who are less than 54 thousand less) only partially offset by the increase in employees, especially those employed under permanent contracts, which are 31 thousand more. The employment rate, which is 56.4 percent, unchanged compared with November.
Youth unemployment
Good news on the front of the youth, to the lowest since 2012, the young jobless. The youth unemployment rate (15-24 years) falls again in December to stand at 37.9 percent, a decrease of 0.1 points over November and by 3.3 percentage points over December 2014. Istat adds, however, that the employment rate in this age group is still quite high, 16.1 percent. The unemployment rate in the range between 25 and 34 is 17.1 percent, up 0.1 points over November but down 1.2 points compared to December 2014. In this band are employed at 59, 7 percent.
