(AGI) – 7 million Italians have decided to spend at least one day of vacation in Italy and abroad in Easter 2016, down 20% from the previous year. Fear of attacks has changed the destination of vacationers, making prefer the Bel Paese to 85% of Italians. If among those who cross the borders – Coldiretti – is a net cut of the traditional destinations of North Africa, including those who remain in Italy to suffer are the big cities, while enjoying the smaller towns, farms, and, thanks to the late snowfalls, also the mountain. In general, Liguria is the preferred destination for Italian Navy, but the first place is the coast of Lazio, with Neptune. Between the individual mountain resorts, on Cortina d’Ampezzo podium but it is the Valle d’Aosta region the most in demand. Rome and Florence, reports Casa.it, are the favorite cities of art while among the Italians are turning towards those lakes of Como and Garda. The average duration of the holiday is between 3 and 4 days with the main objective to enjoy a moment of relaxation and a widespread interest in the gastronomic aspects of the holiday. Spending on food for souvenirs, lunch and dinner represents about 1/3 of the general budget of the holiday that exceeds 350 euro per person for a total of nearly 2.5 billion. The majority of travelers, however, be staying in homes of relatives or friends or in home ownership. For Easter 2016 are indeed many traveling to the traditional return to their home places to strengthen family ties. Back also also overwhelmingly short-haul journey to achieve in the day for a picnic, visit a city of art, religious sites or go visit relatives and friends, perhaps making use of the packed lunch carefully prepared at home.
