Snam, net 2015 1238 billion, coupon 0.25 euro, studying spinoff Italgas – Reuters Italy

MILAN, March 17 (Reuters) – Snam closes 2015 with a net profit of 1.238 billion euro, up 3.3% compared to 2014 and with a EBIT of 1,990 million (+ 0.9%), according to a note.

The dividend for 2015 will amount to EUR 0.25 per share, in line with that paid in 2014.

The Board has initiated a feasibility study on a possible industrial and corporate reorganization transaction for Italgas to Snam separation, which could be achieved through the partial and proportional demerger of Snam having to object, in whole or in part, participation in Italgas. The company plans to submit the results of the feasibility study for approval of the board.

As a result of this, the financial calendar varies again: the approval of the strategic plan 2016-2019 and the strategy presentation is now expected by July instead of the next 29 and 30 March.

The gas injected into the transportation network in 2015 amounted to 67.25 billion cubic meters (+ 8%). For the current year, the most recent estimates on the evolution of demand for natural gas on the Italian market in 2016 envisage a situation of substantially stable compared to the levels of 2015 in terms normalized for temperature.
