Confindustria “slams” on Nautica – Il Giornale

Camilla Accounts

it’s been less than four months since Vincenzo Boccia has been appointed to the helm of Confindustria and now has to answer to the first coarse. The major Italian yacht and mega-yacht manufacturers and some of the main companies of nautical industrial production of our country (Apreamare, AzimutBenetti, Baglietto, Cantiere delle Marche, Cantieri di Sarnico, Colombo, Ferretti Group, Maltese, Mase Generators, Mondomarine and shipyards Pisa, Opem Systems, Perini, Picchiotti, Tecnopool, Viareggio Superyacht, Vismara Marine) have decided to leave the association.

The reason? “The now prolonged lack of attention, services and strategic dedication to the boating industry by this Confindustria, which simply carry out a trade union support activities for companies in the face of substantial contributions,” explained in a statement the 15 companies that They are part of Italian Boat and represent the excellence in the sector in terms of volume, brand and employment generated. Such carelessness “has even manifested so outrageous, in substance and in form, for failure to implement a purpose federation, announced several times that it should collect all the operators in the sector,” the statement continues. For the same reasons, the same manufacturers and other 60 companies had gone out in 2015 by Ucina (Confindustria nautical) “which in recent years has focused primarily on the organization of the Genoa boat show.”

The 67 companies have therefore created the association Italian Nautica. He asked, in October, to joining Confindustria direct adhesion but was rejected (with one vote against) from the avenue of Astronomy, the statute does not allow the coexistence within the system of associations that operate in the same sector.

The farewell of the big nautical is added to various stomach ache across the area that is already undergoing a profound process of reorganization through mergers among the individual associations. By the case of Confindustria Belluno Dolomites – where in recent months came the cancellation of at least twenty companies, some of which the founders of the association Belluno – to the Florence Industrial yesterday signed the Memorandum of Understanding on marriage with those of southern Tuscany ( It is bringing together Arezzo, Grosseto and Siena) and Livorno Massa-Carrara. Thursday had gathered the assembly members of the Florentines at the second call, the first call because there was no quorum for approval (it was for decades that did not happen).

Releases and clutches are also adding to internal splits: the appointment of Petanque is indeed arrived measurement, with only 9 votes difference compared to the rival Alberto Vacchi, prefiguring from the very beginning an uphill with a heavy role of industry and with the public ‘ impatience of small business.

After the withdrawal of Fiat in 2012, the federal government has in fact shifted the balance towards state-owned companies whose executives are largely an expression of the Renzi government.

And now the last election campaign had shown a Confindustria divided into parties. The case of boating is yet another wake-up call: to avoid striking the other outputs Salerno Boccia will accelerate cuts in bureaucratic costs and bring representation to market problems of globalization and also to attract multinationals and start-ups. Otherwise the bleeding will continue.
