Emirates is strengthened to Malpensa with the introduction of a second A380 – Il Sole 24 Ore

Emirates, the national airline of the Emirate of Dubai Arabic, is strengthened in Malpensa with the introduction of a second daily flight operated with the A380, the plane two more floors largest in the world. But we proceed with order. Emirates currently makes three daily flights on the Dubai-Milan Malpensa route: two see the use of the Boeing 777-300ER and one A380 (flight then continues to New York). As of October 1, 2016, the Airbus A380 will increase from one to two. The transition from Boeing A380 means an additional capacity of 1,834 seats a week between the two cities. The new link, explains Emirates, will offer the opportunity to fly with the A380 to and from popular destinations in Australia, China, South Korea and South East Asia with only one stop in Dubai.

In summary: as of October 1, 2016, Emirates will introduce the Dubai-Malpensa route a second Airbus 380 with a three-class configuration, with 14 private suites in First Class, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 401 seats in Economy Class. Total: 491 seats. Passengers in all classes can enjoy more than 2,500 channels of movies, TV shows, music and games – with an impressive selection of titles in Italian – through ice Digital Widescreen, the Emirates’ inflight entertainment system.

This second A380 will depart from Dubai International Airport at 15.45 and arrive in Milan Malpensa at 20.30. The return flight will take off from Milan at 22:20, arriving in Dubai at 6.25 the next day.

The connections between Milan and Emirates are beyond the three daily flights. Emirates sponsors the fact Milan from 2010, with the current sponsorship contract active until the end of the 2019/20 season.

In 2015, Emirates carried 22 thousand tons of goods including cars from Milan, marble, food products such as cheese, olive oil, pharmaceuticals, clothing and footwear for the United Arab Emirates, India, Hong Kong, United States, Australia and Mexico.
