Gucci, revolution at the top: Frida Giannini leaves after 12 years – The Messenger


 (AGI) – Big changes in house Gucci.
The creative director Frida Giannini and CEO Patrizio Di Marco, partners in life, leave their positions in the luxury fashion house. First of farewell Frida present its women’s collection on February 25th. Di Marco, after six years as CEO in the studio, will be replaced by Marco Bizzarri and soon will be appointed the successor of Frida Giannini. “I want to thank Frida for his extraordinary passion, dedication and for his contribution to the history of Gucci,” said François-Henri Pinault Chairman and CEO of Kering, parent company of Gucci, recalling that “it was the only creative director Gucci for almost a decade. This is a truly remarkable achievement, considering the level of huge responsibility as supervisor of all aspects of the product and the image for a brand so global, during a period of time so long. I am grateful for his achievements, for his creativity and passion that has alw ays transmitted in his work. ” Speaking of Patrick, Pinault said that “it was a pleasure for me to work with Patrick in recent years. The performance achieved by Gucci during his tenure corroborate his success. His strategic vision, his passion, his dedication and his charisma were essential to bring Gucci where he is today. I wish to thank him heartily and wish for the better for his future projects. ”
