Consob has rejected the takeover bid and exchange of Ei Towers on Rai Way in the new version made by the companies of the TV transmission towers owned by Mediaset . On April 10, the board of Ei Towers had in fact decided to lower from 66.7 to 40%, the minimum threshold which constrain the effectiveness of the Tender Offer. But this was not enough to get the green light from the Commission, chaired by Giuseppe Vegas. In the press Consob emphasizes that fact that on 10 April, “in addition to not constitute a communication made pursuant to art. 102 of the FCA, “not” the requirements to start a new procedural process, not reporting the reasons lowering of the threshold to 40%, “with particular attention to cases in which, remaining the current controlling shareholder of Rai Way (ie Rai, ed), the industrial project of creation of a single national operator was not shared by such shareholder. ”
