Istat notes that the economic downturn has affected the prices of both the existing housing (-1.0%) and new ones (-0.7%).

Similarly, the decline trend , which is still small in magnitude (a percentage point less than in the previous quarter), was the synthesis of the price declines of both the existing housing (-3.6%) and new ones (-1.2 %), with a difference in absolute value fell by six tenths of a percentage point (2.4 percentage points from 3.0 in the third quarter).
