INPS: + 20% of permanent contracts in January and February – The Republic

MILAN – In January and February increase new employment for an indefinite period (+ 20.7%), increases the workload on the stable total (from 37.1% to 41.6%) but overall the number of activations of the contracts remains stable compared to the first two months of 2014 also stable wages in the new fixed-term contracts. You can then interpret the data pointing out the impact of the decision to de-contribution (up to about 8000 Euros) of new permanent employees, taken for recruitment year to date. But we must also ensure that, always from INPS data, in November-December 2014, the total number of permanent employees compared to the same two months of 2013 was down 8.6%: thus confirms that companies have probably expected relief before taking . A notice of a few days ago the Ministry of Labour spoke of a positive balance between activations and terminations of fixed-term contracts, of about 45 thousand units in the first two months of 2015 under the heading of permanent contracts.

As for wages, the INPS tables indicates the average pay in euro 1,845 theoretical gross permanent contracts, rising to € 1,866 if you include forward contracts (paid 1,914 Euros) and apprentices (descending 1,376 euro). Compared to January-February 2014, the change was a modest growth of 1.4%.
