56% of Italian families declare to have a financial situation unsatisfactory. 14% have a monthly income that is not even enough to cover essential costs. Six out of ten families are concerned that a family may lose their jobs. The long wave of the crisis feels, and how, if half of Italian households still does not hear and does not see the shooting. A highlight is the latest quarterly survey index Sef Confesercenti and SWG, measuring on a scale of 1 to 100 the “economic solidity perceived” by families and that is disclosed for the first time today: in May marks a value 55, the same measured in February, and an increase of 2 points on December 2014.

47% of the families can barely make ends meet
The central problem remains domestic demand: nearly two-thirds of Italians (71%) seen in perspective consumption or unchanged or even declining. Surveyed on their overall financial condition, including income, debts and any assets, 56% of households still reports an uncomfortable situation, with 42% who said a dissatisfied and 14% totally dissatisfied. It remains at 44% – the same rate recorded in February – the proportion of Italians met, of which only 2% completely satisfied. Strong polarization also in terms of monthly income: more than half of the nuclei indicates a difficult situation, with 47% claiming to be able just to cover expenses, without being able to afford more luxuries and a substantial 14% of households is defined as poor admitting, in fact, that the family income is not even enough for the necessary. Families with fewer problems, stating a sufficient income to live without worries, are 38%. While only 2% of claims to have an income that allows the family to live comfortably, being able to grant even luxuries.

64% fear that a family member loses job
Not stupid fear of losing their jobs: 64% of families admit the fear that can happen to any family. 38% say enough preoccupat, 26%
very worried, demonstrating how remains a high level of perceived anxiety about the security of their jobs. Only 36% fear than the work is minimal, if any, with 26% claiming to have little fear of losing their jobs and 10% of the sample that does not show, however, no fear.

Compared to a year ago perception unchanged
From the indicators show that for Italians the perception of quality of life is unsustainable for a family of five (21%), acceptable for 34% of respondents and
satisfactory only for the remaining 45% of the sample. Overall, it appears that Italian families have not yet intercepted signals economic turnaround: the question whether from a year ago people are better or worse than 46% of the sample believe that living conditions have worsened in the last year while as many as half, 50%, claims not to have perceived no change from last year, and only 4% say, on the contrary, to live better.

consumption, low expectations
The expectations are low. Asked how will consumption in six months 71% of respondents see a stable or worsening. Of these, a remarkable 41% say that consumption will remain substantially the same, and another 30% see them falling. Only the remaining 24% of the sample expressed, however, a sign of confidence by providing an increase in spending on consumption in the coming months.
