In Italy and study at the same time work is a rare thing and over the years it has become more and more: in 2015, students with an occupation are just 75 thousand, 2% of the total of those engaged in training between 15 and 24 years old. And’ what emerges from the tables of the Istat, just updated. This is the lowest level for when matches are played in the time series of the Institute (2004). Suffice it to say that in 10 years the number of who is able to bring forward two things at the same time has fallen by half (-51% on 2005) and even stronger is the descent with respect to the peak recorded in 2008 (-60%). Yet, over the years, students have gradually increased, approaching in 2015, the maximum (3 million 714 thousand students).
Study and work together seems to be a mission too difficult, so much so that among students, even those who test us, those looking for work, this results in a decided decrease: decrease both the unemployed (amounting to 39 thousand, down 31% in 10 years), or those that are in the grey zone of inactivity, are not hunting for a job, but in the case pops are ready to pick it up (around 124 thousand, to the historical minimum), while among the students increase the inactive is true, that does not have or seek an employment (3 million 476 thousand, never been so many). The music does not change even if you look at the range between 20 and 24 years, where should be the university that you pay your studies by working, perhaps with a part-time. Among their students, workers ten years, have reduced by 46% (64 thousand to 119 thousand) and the decline becomes even more drastic by comparison with 2008 (-57%). Extending the range to under30, the absolute number of those working and studying t ogether with salt (166 thousand between 15 and 29 years of age) but, comparing the data to past years to always fall (-41% in 10 years and -51% from the maximum value).
