Today the tourism system in Emilia Romagna that is, in terms of business volume, 9% of the national average. In the wake of Expo 2015, the region could open up new passages across the border, with the involvement of radial companies, institutions, associations. “We nominate to become the logistics platform of the universal exposition,” says Maurizio Melucci, Regional Councillor for Tourism.

An announcement with which, together with colleagues from Agriculture and Production, Tiberio Rabboni and Luciano Vecchi, puts on the table even three calls for a value of € 2 million, aimed at companies and organizations who want to enter in the great circuit of exposure bringing their ideas and plans for big events.
The numbers are there: about one million persons, more than 4 thousand hotels. Then the district’s wellness Romagna, enterprise network debut, and, in Emilia, the motor valley, with its 13 museums, four racetracks and international brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Maserati. Finally, the food valley, Capital represented by excellent food known throughout the world. The Region has an appointment with three spaces: a stand in the exhibition pavilion of the Regions, an exhibition space of 200 square meters for the Week of Emilia Romagna, September 18 to 24, a square for the organization of events.

Especially – in line with the universal theme of the exhibition – the region shows the credentials represented by the World Food research and innovation forum, journey in stages of international events on the development strategies of the total diet (project coordinated by Aster consortium for innovation and technology transfer to enterprises), “but also the sustainability of the production and the attitude to cooperation,” says Rabboni. With the format “businesses open their doors”, the Region bet on two calls for support to enterprises, with a budget of 1.5 million euro for the construction of promotional activities, and on a third call (500 thousand Euros) to finance the establishment of a business combination in tourism. In the latter case, they will have access to contributions up to a maximum of 50 thousand euro, internationalization projects related to the Expo.
