GDP for the first quarter, Istat provides a minimal growth of 0.1% – The Messenger

Perspectives not particularly encouraging for the Italian economic growth. To put pen to paper is Istat, which in the monthly note published March 9 writes: “In a context of weakening of the global recovery, the Italian economy is expected to evolve at a moderate pace in the first quarter of 2016″. In particular, Istat, for the first three months of this year, estimates a GDP increase of 0.1% compared to the last quarter of 2015.

“The increase in the GDP – is the comment of ‘national statistical institute – would contribute positively to private consumption, compared with a negative contribution of net exports and government consumption and investment dynamics (gross inventories) would be essentially flat. in this scenario – continued the Mayor – acquired growth for 2016 is 0.4%. “

the Mayor also reports that” the latest data show an improving employment, especially that indefinitely, also favored by the measures recruitment of support. ” In this regard, the Mayor informed that “by the middle of manufacturing firms that reported an increase in employment between January and November 2015, the contribution exemptions have been a relevant factor. The new contract at increasing protection seems to have exercised a positive role, albeit with less intensity. ”
