Saipem will build the underwater section of the Adriatic pipeline TAP – Il Sole 24 Ore

Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) has awarded Saipem Spa the contract engineering, supply, construction and installation (EPCI) of the offshore section of the project which involves the construction of a submarine pipeline of 36-inch (90 cm), which will cross the Adriatic Sea and Albania joining the coasts of southern Italy, with landings in Melendugno (Lecce). The undersea pipeline will have a length of about 105 km and reaches the maximum depth of about 820 meters below sea level.

The new contract would have a value of around 200 million euro. This evaluation according to sources familiar with the matter.
