ROME (Reuters) – Istat said today that the new method of calculation adopted at European level has increased the Italian GDP in 2011 and caused a reduction in the deficit / pil of the same year to 3.5% from 3.7%.
For the first time the contributions are counted marketing of drugs (estimated for 2011 in terms of value added in 10.5 billion euro), prostitution (3.5 billion) and smuggling of cigarettes (0.3 billion .)
