Greece, Tusk cancels EU summit, the 16 eurozone summit – Reuters Italy


       

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Council President Donald Tusk this morning announced the cancellation of the summit of Heads of State and Government of the EU scheduled this afternoon while being held a summit of eurozone leaders that will go on until the talks on Greece will not be completed.


       

Tusk said in a tweet that the Eurozone summit will begin at 16 Italian, an hour later than originally planned, and that “will last until we have concluded the talks on Greece”.


       

The eurozone leaders would meet today to endorse any decision taken by the Eurogroup or, together with the other EU leaders to take measures to contain the effects of an imminent Greek bankruptcy.
