Rome (askanews) – Italian exports to non-European countries are lagging behind. According to data released by Istat, in June exports it has in fact declined by 1.6% compared to May, confirming the stop and go of the last mesi.Il decline affected all types of goods, except energy that, however, saw an increase of 12.3% .A front of this reduction, however, imports showed an increase of 5.4%. The economic growth in imports is extended to all sectors, but it is particularly strong for capital goods and energy, respectively up 13.5% and 6.7% .According to the analysis of Coldiretti, to curb the ‘performance of Italian exports outside Europe has been the collapse of supplies to Russia (which in June were down 25.3% compared to the same month last year) .Assocamerestero, the association of Italian chambers of commerce abroad, however, he stressed that the decline in exports was partly predictable. Looking ahead, however, thanks to the devaluation of the euro against the dollar, for Italian companies there would be a good chance of recovery positions on markets outside Europe.
