NEW YORK, July 24 (Reuters) – The US manufacturing sector growth has accelerated slightly in July after having slowed for three straight months.
The preliminary index prepared by Markit PMI rose to 53.8 from 53.6 in June when he touched a low from October 2013. Economists polled by Reuters were expecting for a reading of 53.6 this month.
The threshold is exceeded 50 indicates expansion.
The employment index is in fact down in July to 53.7 (minimum from April) by the final figure of 55.5 in June.
The data on production rose to 55.4 from 53.9 last month, minimum from January 2014.
