Brain drain? Comes the tax rebate for returnees – The Messenger

Every year thousands of new graduates are choosing to migrate to a foreign country, radically changing life, looking for a job (to explore the topic the special laws: “The Great Escape of Italians abroad”).

To prevent a hemorrhage of brain drain, the government Renzi has decided that those who return to Italy will be eligible for tax rebates. In detail, the high-skilled workers and with high qualifications within the Belpalese, after a period abroad of at least five years, will benefit from a cut of 30% of the tax. This innovation has been done by the Council of Ministers in the draft legislative decree implementing the tax reform on the internationalization of companies.

Who has access to the incentive? Prime Minister’s office, explains that “the subjects that the previous five years have not been resident in Italy, they fulfill a work primarily in Italian territory and who hold a qualification for which is required a high degree of specialization and the title.”
