MILAN , July 28 (Reuters) – Mondadori ended the first half with a net loss of $ 3.4 million (excluding assets held for sale radio), an improvement from red to 8.6 a year earlier, on revenue down 4.8% to 517.1 million.
The group said in a statement that emphasizes the slowing down of sales in the second quarter (-3.3%) than in the first (-6.2%).
EBITDA pre non-recurring expenses increased 32% to 23.8 million; non-recurring items had a negative impact on the results of the first half to about 5 million.
The EBIT amounted to 9.2 million (+ 32%).
The net financial position at June 30 was a negative 326.5 million, compared with -368.9 million a year earlier and -291.8 million at the end 2014; worsening since last December “includes the effects of the seasonal nature of the business,” the note states.
By 2015 the group confirms the estimate of an improvement in EBITDA and debt.
