The Italian economy flourish from 2015: Istat revised its estimates – The Messenger

They improve the growth prospects for the Italian economy. According to the latest report released by Istat, in 2015 the gross domestic product (GDP) Italian will be 0.7% in real terms, followed by growth of 1.2% in 2016 and 1.3% in 2017. The rate of GDP growth for the current year has been revised upwards by 0.2 percentage points from the panel forecasting widespread in November 2014.

With regard to domestic demand, the Institute of National Statistics predicts that This will contribute positively to GDP growth of 0.3 percentage points, the net exports of 0.4 percentage points. In the next two years will result in a strengthening cyclical supply growing domestic demand (+0.8 and +1.1 percentage points) and the resulting increase in imports will encourage a decrease in the contribution of net external demand in 2017 will also improve household spending , which in 2015 will mark an increase of 0.5% in real terms, following the improvement in disposable income. In the next biennium, it is expected a strengthening of private consumption (+ 0.7% and + 0.9%), supported by a gradual increase in employment.

The investment will grow again in the current year (+ 1.2%), stimulated by the improvement of access to credit and expectations associated with a recovery in production dynamics. The process of capital accumulation is expected to resume at a strong pace in 2016 (+ 2.5%) and with greater intensity in 2017 (+ 2.8%). Good news also in terms of the labor market, was a nice little ‘back in the second half than the other sectors.

The increase in employment (+ 0.6% in terms of work units) will accompany a moderate reduction in the unemployment rate which, in 2015, will amount to 12.5%. In 2016, the unemployment rate will decrease to 12.0% and the work unit will record a significant increase (+ 0.9%). This evolution will continue with greater intensity in 2017, with a drop in the unemployment rate to 11.4% and a growth of unit labor by 1.0%.
