Turkey: Death of man hit by a police vehicle during demonstrations on May 1

Ankara, May 1 11:39 – (Agenzia Nova) – A man hit today by a police vehicle in the Beyoglu district in Istanbul, he died as a result of serious injuries. According to local sources, the 57-year-old Nail Mavus was run over by a vehicle of the security forces equipped with hydrant (Toma) while crossing the street in the Tarlbasi, near Taksim Square, where police used water cannons to disperse protesters who gathered to celebrate May 1.
