The monthly rise was largely due to higher prices of recreational, cultural and personal care (+ 0.4%) and services related to transport (+0.2%).
Stable the shopping cart: + 0.8% in June – They grow by 0.8% in June, food prices, care of the house and of the person that fill the shopping cart of Italians . This figure reflects exactly what the previous month of May.
More expensive holiday in Italy – A push prices up last month are mainly services recreational, cultural and personal care, which weighs on the “holiday factor”. According to Istat, the national holiday packages there were increases of 1.8% over the previous year and 6.8% in May. International packages are rather stable compared to 2014 with increases of 3.6% from May. Among the accommodation, holiday villages, campsites, hostels there are increases of 10.7% on the month and 0, 6% on the year.
Only the north-east is still in deflation in June – The northeast is the only area of Italy where prices in June are still in decline. Istat noted fact a trend decline of 0.1%, as in May. In the north-west and in the center, however, there are increases of 0.4%, higher than inflation, while in the south and in the islands increases amounted to 0.2%. Milan is the city ‘regional capital with the largest increases (+ 0.6%), followed by Genoa and Bolzano (+ 0.5% for both). Significant falls are reported instead in Bologna (-0.7%), Venice (-0.6%) and Catanzaro (-0.3%).
