the Gdp of The fields grows the most in the industry, but agriculture need real help
agriculture is growing more than the rest of the economy. The Gdp of the fields, in fact, arrived at or +3.7% against +0.7% in estimated by Istat for the entire national production system. The data is more positive, but should be read with caution. In mathematical terms, the rate of growth of agriculture is equal to almost three times that of the industry in the strict sense, and nine times that of services. And this is not enough, because it seems that the growth of the agricultural sector is the most relevant in the second quarter of 2016 with +% to 1.8%. And well it seems to be going even employment. Ismea has estimated in the second quarter of 2016 an increase of employed in the fields equal to +6.5% of (a +9.1% for the young).
Numbers, then. That, however, are interpreted differently even if you are not so divergent. Coldiretti, with reason speaks of the “confirmation of the enormous potential” of the sector but stresses the need to “fight the pressure of the distortions of the supply chain and the flow of imports of the wild”. “Important signals, but that should be framed in their proper dimension, instead, Confagricoltura: simply the companies are recovering what was lost in the past years.
above and beyond interpretations, are certain two facts. First of all, agriculture has to really strength to climb back and make it even better (even compared to the rest of the economy). In the second place, it is clear that these forces need to be helped.
it Is here that can have a positive impact on various measures of agricultural policy. Starting with those implemented in the framework of the initiative “Industry 4.0″, which concerns also the agricultural enterprises, to go to the large apparatus of instruments available for the fight against counterfeiting and unfair competition, to get everything that I need to know the quality of food products. Without forgetting, however, that agriculture is not only made from local products, but also mass production that still need to be valued and defended (the story of the wheat and the milk are in this respect exemplary). And not forgetting also the importance of the care of the territory and of its hydrogeological structure. The National Association of land Reclamation (Anbi), in recent days has reiterated the numbers that should make you think: almost 10% of the territory would be at risk while the cost of the measures comes to about 2.5 billion euros per year. Hence the need to intervene with an action plan from the care of the agricultural products comes to the care of the territory.
