Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: June registrations Europe + 17.7% y / y.
Once again Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Europe grows faster than the market: +17.7 percent in June. Fiat 500 and Panda, for the 30th consecutive month dominates the segment: they got together during a share of 27.7 percent. 500L is for the ninth consecutive month the best-selling in its segment with a market share of 23.8 percent in the first half. Thanks to 500X (permanently in the top positions in its segment), the Fiat brand recorded another month of strong growth: +14.8 percent. In June, in the EU-28 + EFTA the Renegade gets the best sales result since launch (over 5,400) and continues to drag the exploits of Jeep that has almost tripled sales compared to last year.
London, July 16, 2015 – In the EU-28 plus EFTA nations in June were registered almost 1 million 414 thousand vehicles, 14.8 percent more than in 2014. In the first half year registrations were 7,000,000 415,000, +8.2 percent in comparison with last year.
Also in June as in the previous five months, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles grew better than that the market. With more than 87,400 registrations, FCA increased sales by 17.7 percent from last year, with the largest increase since January 2010. The rate was 6.2 percent, up from 6 percent a year ago.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has performed better than the market in almost all major nations: +20.1 in Italy (market at 14.4 percent), 15.9 percent in Germany (where total sales were up 12.9 percent), +22.8 percent in France (compared to +15 percent of the market) and +26.2 percent in Spain (+23.4 percent market).
In the first six months of 2015, FCA has sold nearly 473,000 cars and even in this case the growth is significantly higher (12.6 percent) than the market. The share was 6.4 percent, it was 6.1 a year ago.
Fiat in June it got a very positive result with over 66,000 registrations, up by 14.8 percent from a year last. The share remained stable at 4.7 percent. The brand grew faster than the market in Germany (+15.9 percent), France (+31.8 percent) and Spain (+25.1 percent). In Italy, always in June, all of the Fiat brand cars gained the leadership in the categories in which they are present. In the first half of the year Fiat has registered 356,000 cars, 9.6 percent more compared with the same period of 2014, for a market share of 4.8 percent in growth of 0.1 percentage points. The Fiat brand was once again the absolute leader in the segment A. In the first half 500 and Panda together reached 28.3 percent share in the segment and the 500 has exceeded 100,000 registrations. In June, the 500 was the best selling car in its segment with over 19,200 units followed by Panda with almost 14,800 registrations in the month, 10.1 percent more than last year, and nearly 92,000 registrations in the year. Also in June it continued the streak of successes of the 500L, which has been the most sold in its segment as now nine consecutive months, with over 9,100 registrations in the month and a share of 23.8 percent in the first half. In June, the 500X has confirmed its position among the top ten European with more than 7,600 registrations, a considerable increase compared to 5,700 in May 2015.
Lancia / Chrysler in June has registered nearly 6,400 cars and got a share of the 0.5 percent. In the first six months of the trademark registrations were 36,000 for a share of 0.5 percent. The brand has been very successful in Italy where, in a market that grew by 14.4 percent, increased registrations by 22 percent. Lancia Ypsilon with over 6,000 registrations in June increased sales by 4.7 percent last year in Europe and 35.8 percent in Italy.
Alfa Romeo registrations in June were almost 5,500 for a share of 0.4 percent. Year-to-the Alfa Romeo recorded were 31,000 with a share of 0.4 percent. In June, the brand increased its sales in Italy (+17.1 percent) and in Austria (+31.7 percent). In the first six months of 2015, registrations of Giulietta increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
Another month of strong growth for Jeep that in June recorded another exploit sales . The registration of the brand have been just under 8,500, nearly tripled from a year ago (+176.3 percent) and once again is the Jeep brand from the fastest growing market in terms of percentage increase in sales. Its share was 0.6 percent, tripled compared with 0.2 percent a year ago. In the first half of 2015 the Jeep registered were 45,000, almost three times compared to 16,000 last year, an increase of 174.3 percent. The share was 0.6 percent compared with 0.2 percent in 2014. In June, Jeep sales were up in all major European markets with values significantly higher than average: +309.2 percent in Italy, + 53.2 percent in Germany, +490.8 percent in France, +160.8 percent in the United Kingdom, +357.8 percent in Spain. A tow the results of the brand is of course the Renegade – now firmly among the top ten in its segment – that in June there were registered more than 5,400, the best result since its launch, a strong and steady growth than in previous months.
Luxury brands and sports Ferrari and Maserati have registered a total of 924 cars in June and 4,984 in annual progressive.
